The course is generally short but most of the holes are quite difficult. Especially, holes no. 3 and 4 where both greens are dog-legged to the right. And the greens are not visible from tee-offs.
The shortest hole is hole 16. It is only about 60 meters but guarded by a bunker to the right and a pond in between the green and the tee-off point. To the left is the fence and hitting over it will be out of bound OB....but golfers say it's "Oh Beautiful".
On a good sunny day, the majestic Mount Kinabalu can be seen as you tee-off from Hole 1. Apart from the noise from the passing traffic (hole 1 runs parallel to the Tambunan/Keningau Road), the cours is generally quiet.
Come to Tambunan Golf Club and experience the hospitality of its staff...aramaiti can be accompanied with open Kareoke.

Staff are unfriendly and the course is overpriced. The golf is actually reasonable but then you must take a caddy at an extra RM35 excluding tips! The maintenance on the course is dreadful and is symptomatic of the fact that the club are heavily subsidised by the racing section and can't be bothered to do any work on what could be an excellent course! |

I love this course. It has veyr scenic looking holes and some very long holes.
Try the local food at the local town.Good for some chinese food.

This is quite narrow course, putting green are not maintaining well. Mostly short course and good for pitching practice. Bring extra balls. |

I have played this course a few times. Very challanging course, but maintenance has always been an issue. They can do so much more with this course and it could be an excellent course. If you play here make sure you go across the boarder for a nice Thai meal and a massage. |
